Mini Strain Gauge

The structure allows for the strip to be bent in either direction with travel limiters to prevent damage. 
Ideal for showing the principle of a metal foil resistive strain gauge. 
The device is bonded to a flexible plastic strip with connections brought out to 4mm sockets. 
The gauge has a resistance of 120 ohms and gives about 1 ohm change at maximum flex. 
For real measurements the unit would need to be used as part of a bridge network with suitable amplification. 
A step gauge is provided to enable the strip to be bent in 5mm increments.
