Demonstrate mechanical to electrical energy conversion with a voltmeter, data-logger or oscilloscope.
Consisting of a 15mm diameter ceramic element with integral, protective press-stud, the device gives voltage pulses of up to 20V when given a sharp tap.
The reverse effect can also be shown by connection to a signal generator whereby the device converts the electrical signal to sound waves.
