THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY APPARATUS (COMPLETE SET)

Purpose:

To demonstrate and introduce the principles of adsorption chromatography using the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) technique.

The apparatus shall be provided with a movable applicator/spreader having an inbuilt thickness adjustment arrangement from 0 to 2 mm, with a minimum division of 0.25 mm.
Spreader / Applicator: Made of electroplated brass.
Perspex Base: Approx. 114 × 23 cm, suitable for supporting glass plates.
Plate Rack: Made of anodized aluminium, suitable for holding:
10 Nos. of 20 × 20 cm plates, or 20 × 10 cm plates.
Developing Tank: Complete with lid.
Spotting Template: Made of Perspex.
TLC Plates: Any one of the following sets: 5 Nos. of 20 × 20 cm plates + 2 Nos. of 20 × 5 cm plates; or 10 Nos. of 20 × 10 cm plates + 2 Nos. of 20 × 5 cm plates. (Any 1) (Another on Extra cost)
Glass Sprayer: With rubber bellows.
Micro-Pipette / Glass Pipette: Approx. 100 µL capacity.
Scriber: Stainless steel, for marking lines on TLC plates.
